2019 Soil Crawl-Animal Impact
September 28, 2019
9:30 AM- 4:30 PM
Healthy Meadows Ranch
447 Red Lodge Creek Road
Red Lodge, MT 59068

Join Ivan and Chia Thrane at Healthy Meadows outside of Red Lodge for a day-long workshop and discussion of how to use animal impact to benefit your land and ecosystem.
The Thranes work with goats to graze not only their own land, but to help other landowners and agencies control weeds and sustainably manage pasture through animal impact.
Their 10 years of intensive grazing experience provides valuable insight, and even more valuable questions.

Tour their operation at Crane Dance Ranch and see how they use goats and how they are rethinking our relationship with plants to better understand our landscapes and improve soil health.

Fred Provenza will join Ivan and Chia for a lively, informative discussion about the connection between plants, animals and humans.

We'll conclude our day with a goat barbecue and bluegrass music. We look forward to seeing you there!
